So it has been one long week ... Don't know were to start maybe that we payed are comcast bill then they told us we need pay them $200 more to keep our service so with that to say we dont have internet any more. or the fact that our van broke down and it will cost more then we can get anytime soon. and maybe the fact that I'm just hanging on to see if I will have a job here in the next few days... but what I can say is "no matter what he tries to take from us he can never, never, never take what is the most valuable to me and that is the Lord and my faith" .....
www.heraldnet.com has a great article about Mike.
I met friends of a friend of mine last week and thier house burned down three days later. My friend Amber wants to orchestrate help for them, she was asking me if I had any ideas. They lost everything when the apartment below them caught on fire. The fire department wont let them go back to get anything. I want to help them, but I am not sure where to start? I feel like this is a good way to show Gods love in action. Any ideas?
What a sad day today. We lost a big part of The Rock Church in the passing of Mike Wallace in a motorcycle accident yesterday. Happy for Mike, He gets to be in the best place possible. We werent really close to him, but we did'nt have to be to be impacted by him. He had an amazing servants heart, always willing to do what it takes to get it done. I wish I was more like him. Our prayers go out to his family and friends that were with him. The Lord impressed on me last night in a dream, sometimes we will lose those around us, and it will be painful, but through their passing more people will be reached then through their life. ( look at Jesus) There is also a scripture I read once,( I cant remember where) that says, Don't mourn for those who pass early, they are free from suffering. I have no doubt Mike is in the presence of the Lord. Pastor Jeff put it very eloquently at his blog www.knightrous.com .
Today we spent about 6 hours at childrens hospital, for Meadows first Diabetic Clinic. They are pleased with
how cool she is being about it. Her progress is good, they say honeymoon period, we believe for her healing. :)
Afterwards she participated in some clinical research studies that took about 2 hours, and about 13 vials of blood, (yuck) But they should be able to use that to help provide information and hopefully better treatments and one day a cure. She recieved Fred Meyers gift card for all of her time and information and blood. I got a 20$ bill for my time and gas. (reimbursed me for the gas money to get to the hospital and back.) the diabetes is getting easier to manage, but we are still praying about her thyroid antibodies. They have the potential to attack her thyroid and cause other issues. Hopefully our next clinic will be in Everett. They also had a research study I wanted Ocean to take part in so we could see if she has the same things in her body that will make her liable to get diabetes too. BUT they said she had to agree to it. It was only one vial of blood, and they have amazing numbing cream so you don't feel a thing. Meadow didnt even know when they put it in or out.We also saw what an insulin pump looks like. ( still believing God's promises!)
I was just wondering what people are doing? We are contemplating races,Brent has to work at least a good part of the day unfortunately. I would love to barbeque, except, oh yeah, we don't have one. Last year I went with Brent's dad to the jaycees parade in Everett, I'm thinking that would be fun again. A friend, Natasha might go too. Looking for idea's....
If you could do anything you wanted tomorow, what would it be?
My first thought was pile up all of our kids, and a bunch of friends and go to disneyland!! I think everyone should go. I havent personally been (yet) but it is a desire of my heart to see Meadow and Ocean and Grace and Olivia's faces appreciate the " Magic Kingdom".
